dog behaviour workshops in leicestershire
Dog behaviour workshops? What are dog behaviour workshops?
Again something different from me, Steven Havers, dog behaviourist.
I do home visits, I do dog behaviour group walks, I do dog owner intensive training so most of what you need is covered, isn't it?
I don't think so. What if you want more than an hour dog behaviour walk?
What if you can't take a whole week off or you can't afford a whole week with me on my dog owner intensive training?
You need something in between don't you? Something that fits your needs and really delivers what you want?
My dog behaviour workshops are designed to offer you something different but something you will still benefit from hugely. My dog behaviour workshops run in two, three or four day formats.
You can choose which workshop you want from two, three or four days depending on your dogs behaviour and what you want to achieve. There will be other dog owners with you, a minimum of four and a maximum of six other dogs and their owners all learning to behave together.
Working within a group of other dog owners on my dog behaviour workshop is a more constructive environment as you can listen and observe the other group members which helps you learn more and learn more quickly as you are hearing and seeing the instructions and demonstrations more than once. We all learn through repetition!
Working this closely with me means you get a great deal of individual and group tuition and we will all have discussed the plan for the dog behaviour workshop right at the start so you all know what is coming. Surprises don't benefit anyone or help learning!
Whether you choose a two, three or four day dog behaviour workshop you can be assured that you will leave with a much better behaved dog and a much clearer and deeper understanding of what makes your dog tick.
Following on from my dog behaviour workshops, you can join any of my dog behaviour group walks to continue improving your behaviour and our dogs behaviour. You will have my full support for as long as you need it, I do recommend regular refresher sessions throughout the year to help you keep at the top of your game.
What do my dog behaviour workshops consist of?
My dog behaviour workshops consist of working with you and your dog in situations and locations you need to work in to resolve the issues you are having whilst trying to teach your dog how to behave.
Before you join the dog behaviour workshop, we will have a thorough conversation about the problems you are experiencing, the level of the problems your dog is giving you, any contact with other dog behaviourists and any results.
We will then plan together which locations to use that will help you and I address and resolve the issues you are struggling with.
My 25 years experience mean my dog behaviour workshops can help your dog learn to behave in country parks, open spaces, around wild life and livestock, with runners, joggers, cyclists, other dogs, other dogs off lead, town centres, railway stations, airports or wherever your dog struggles.
As a very experienced Human behaviourist I can help you learn to understand why your dog behaves as he does in these situations, I can help you learn to be able to show your dog you know what you are doing so your dog can relax, I can show you how to be relaxed and in control in these situations and I will do all of this without treats or toys. I will use the power of your attention and teach you how to use it properly
My dog behaviour workshops focus on three core principles:
- For your dog to walk on a slack lead.
- For your dog to remain calm whatever the distraction.
- for your dog to come back when called, regardless of distraction
If your dog will do these three things, you have a dog that is under full control whatever the situation. That is a dog you can be proud of and you are an example of a good dog owner.
It requires a dog behaviourist and a human behaviourist to achieve these three core principles so if your goal is to have your dog be calm and very well behaved and you are prepared to work hard then call 01530 242209 now and lets get started. You will have my dedicated support through the whole journey and that is my promise to you.
